We’re going all dark and dramatic this fine Sunday, courtesy of The Storyteller Celebrant who was behind the Snow White wedding inspiration concept, planning and styling and Joasis Photography who was the creator of the atmospheric images. What a feast for the eyes!

Here we have a bold deep red colour scheme featuring decadent flowers, whimsical calligraphy stationery, floral adorned cakes and a show stopping grazing table filled to the very brim with treats, all held at Patrick’s Barn. The bridal looks are just incredible, with a black tulle gown and a contrasting pretty floral gown by BRIDE By Aster taking centre stage. There were also beautiful accessories, veils, shoes and flawless hair and make up looks. I really think these awe inspiring Snow White inspired images will leave you with so many fantastic ideas today. 

The concept was to bring innovative, creative ideas to the vision, with stunning dresses that capture the essence of a modern day fairy-tale. I had the idea of two sides to the story, a dark, and a light. At the end, they come together and feast.

The original stories told, were very dark. Tales of jealousy and enchantment, but also told of love, friendship, kindness and forgiveness.

The stunning dresses are from BRIDE by Aster. When choosing dresses to fit the theme of the shoot, there was no competition. We needed dresses that were full of colour and totally unique. The dress is the oh-so-pretty and floral FLEUR by designer ANNY LIN.

It may only be Spring, but we’re skipping ahead to Autumn this afternoon for all the delights of this bohemian wedding inspiration. 

The bohemian elements are apparent and were styled by Betty Loves Vintage. Natural, real and autumnal tones were at play throughout which are undeniably perfect for the style of the barn. The Light Painters captured the shoot perfectly using textures and lighting to enhance the romantically Gothic vibes. The rich colours of the flowers, food and table dressing and soft bohemian styling were a perfect fit for the traditional and rustic barn. A variety of rich and beautiful flowers and foliage were used in the ceremony, creating asymmetric columns which framed the models and brought out the colours of the Indian rugs. – Hannah Mac Lennan

Don’t you just love Autumn? This wonderful time of year lends perfectly to bohemian weddings due to its rich colours, textures and dreamy light. It helps it includes a dessert table of dreams too. All displayed beautifully on a vintage dresser with complementary fruit, foliage and flowers. A bohemian wedding wouldn’t be complete with a boho bride and boy is this bride a beauty. Her halterneck dress and bridal updo with hair vine are simply divine. Not to mention her dewy skin and natural makeup applied by makeup artist Kimberley Louise Makeup.

Even though it’s summer, this winter-inspired styled shoot has us dreaming of long sleeves and winter whites. With a nod to tokens of winter style, this inspiration lends itself to not only classic hues but inventive florals and décor that bring new life to old man winter.

The bride dons a tousled updo that is flirty, yet gorgeous and complements her light, natural makeup.

In a lace A-line gown, she clutches a sprawling bouquet filled with white lilies, ranunculus and more to create a dynamic white floral design.

The back detail of her first gown is exquisite. It features a sheer panel with lace floral appliqués, a row of buttons and fluttery sleeves that can be pulled forward or back. Set against the classic white interior of the room, she looks statuesque.

A groom, dressed in a striking dark blue suit with a complementary blue tie, joins her in the whitewashed room.They are happy and content as they share a sweet moment before settling in to celebrate their union.
